The Needs
School Bus
Goals for 2024 include purchasing a school bus. This would allow for the children to be safely transported at one time. It would also allow for the children in the mountains to come to the orphanage for a shower, clean pair of clothing, shoes, medical attention. It would allow for basic needs to be met.
Medical Care
Medical care is not guaranteed and it is often necessary. Due to being exposed to the elements, Isabel* had ectopic dermatitis and needed medicine for her face. She is one of many.
Supporting the Community Center
A community center has been built with big dreams attached to it. The hope is to provide 2 meals a day to the children and transportation to and from school.
Electrical Infrastructure
It is not fun nor is it glamorous but our goal for this year is to replace the old wiring in the orphanage and replace it with new wiring. With a recent electrical fire, it became clear that the current electrical set-up was not safe for the children. We want to provide a brand new electrical system to ensure the children's safety and literally keep the lights on.
