The Tarahumaras are an indigenous tribe in Mexico. Also known as the Raramuri, this group of people are easily identified by their colorful clothing. Living in the mountains, they face many difficulties. Food scarcity, poor housing conditions, a harsh climate and lack of resources are but a few.
Mostly single mothers and children, their housing conditions in the mountains are less than ideal. Houses are often made of scrap board with dirt floors.
The Tarahumaras face extreme poverty and primitive living conditions. The blue structure is the one water source for the entire village.
